Hello Reader,
I'm Terry Jester, Jr. I am a bit of an aspiring author. You see, ever since I was a child (meaning old enough to write words rather than scribbles) I've been exploring new and exciting worlds, experiencing adventures the mind could only dream of. My gift is words, which I can and will manipulate into manifestations that will tickle, twist and tantalize the mind. That is the real joy of writing. I live for the writing and love to see the responses. But first and foremost, I use this gift to glorify God. This sometimes turns people off, like I just kinda let loose another Bubonic Plague.
What do I mean when I glorify God with my writing? It means I do not lower the standards I have set for myself and the standards at which God expects from me. What does this mean for the reader? No swearing or foul language (contrary to popular belief, it does not add realism, it only belittles the mind). I try to keep more of a sense of suspense and adventure than gore and trauma.
You won't find much preaching in my fantasy works, for it really doesn't fit the mold. However, it will be fully obvious where my morals lie, that is how I glorify God. But enough about what you MIGHT read, let's get around to what you CAN read...at the moment...nothing. I've been handwriting most of my story as I find it's freedom from many distractions the computer has. I don't have the will power to stay away from things...hmm...like this...instead of writing in my story.
Now you know I'm an author, did you also know I'm a Bible College student? Whoa, well throw an -ology at me and call me great thinker, a Bible college? Yeah, and I really wouldn't have it any other way. If God is my life, He can also rock my education too! So currently I'm a Junior at this Bible college and currently have my heart set on missions. How's Japan sound to some of you? Sounds great to me! Great enough that I'll be interning there next summer under the gracious blessings of God and the most excellent agreement made with the missionary family already down there!
Well, there really isn't anymore I want to say in this first post as I meant for it to be brief! I now have to begin to decipher my own chicken scratches and get the first chapter to my book posted on both Myspace and here. Oh, you'd like to check out my Myspace page? Glad you asked!
